“I had a very nice pole barn (42x56x10) built by Old Country Construction. The guys did a fantastic job on the building, and my family and I were at ease with Seth and his crew. One of the greatest selling points of using Old Country Construction over the other guys, despite being priced greater, was the fact that Old Country built on top of concrete piers with a belled ends vs just sinking wood in the ground, and their steel was higher quality than what anyone else quoted. I have expansive clay soil, combined with a pretty shallow water table, on my property and Seth’s system has worked flawlessly. The guys were hard working, very organized, timely, and quiet. Additionally, while it may not matter to some, Seth and crew are humble men of God: you will not hear loud music, cursing, or other unwanted typical construction mayhem, which we found so welcome and comforting.”

“We feel very fortunate to have found Seth and his team for our cabin construction! He did a great job working with us to help us achieve our vision for the project within our budget constraints. He readily understood our dreams and provided suggestions to make them a reality. We’re now into our second winter of enjoying our tight and warm cabin built to Seth’s exacting standards!

We were always welcomed on-site and the Old Country Construction crew was always very courteous and kept a very clean and orderly job site. He also managed his subcontractors very well to ensure the job progressed as planned. We were even able to be one of those subs ourselves to save some budget. Seth included us on the schedule with plenty of lead-time to ensure we had time off from work and gather our materials for our portion of the build!

When we were not able to stop by the build, Seth always kept us up to date with the latest progress through a build portal including notes and photos of the build. This was very comforting and also made us feel more connected to the project and his team even when we were away.

We know of several friends and family members who weren’t so fortunate with their choice of contractors and experienced significant cost and/or schedule overruns, but Seth managed both budget and schedule to deliver our completed cabin within the original estimate and before the projected completion date!

“I am happy to write a review for our builders, Old Country Construction. The owner of the company, Seth Denlinger, is a top-of-the-line builder, a fair and able businessman, and a very easy person to work with. I will start by saying that we had been house hunting for about a year before we met Seth, and hadn’t really ever considered building a house. We looked at quite a few homes and just didn’t find the right fit. We began to get discouraged, and began to accept that we may need to settle for a home that wasn’t really what we wanted. Then, by chance meeting, we found Seth, and we began to toy with the idea of building a home. It seemed like a daunting task, and initially we were hesitant and frankly, scared to death to take on such a project! However, after our first meeting with Seth, those fears were put to rest.

The Design Phase:
Unlike many people who plan their dream homes for years, we had no idea how to design “the perfect house.” We knew exactly what we wanted in a home, but had no formal design or blueprints. As we verbalized our vision to Seth, he was able to use very sophisticated software to design the house. Throughout the process, Seth was flexible yet realistic – he listened carefully, provided options, and made wonderful suggestions. The outcome was the perfect home for us!

The Building Phase:
The Old Country Construction team is remarkable! All are extremely capable builders and craftsmen, and they work like a well-oiled machine. Every one of them went above and beyond to make sure they did things exactly the way we wanted and always with a smile on their face. Their attention to detail – both interior and exterior – is particularly impressive, as is the fact that the worksite was always organized and tidy. At the end of every day the property was free of trash and debris; nothing hazardous or dangerous was ever left lying around.

Budgeting:
One of the areas that was most concerning to us was the budgeting, as we had heard horror stories from people who had gone way over their budget. This was not the case with us – Seth was diligent and always forthcoming about every expenditure that was made. There were no surprises, and we were kept in the budgeting loop throughout the project. Our build was at the heels of COVID, and there were some unknowns in the US marketplace due to inventory and shipping. Despite this, Seth was always on top of every financial detail, and we never once felt the stress of going over budget.

One Year Later:
We have been in our house over a year now, and have never been happier with our surroundings! Everything is working exactly as it should, and there are no malfunctions or problems with any systems or materials. We truly have peace of mind in the integrity of our home, and we know this is because Old Country Construction is dedicated to the quality and longevity of their construction.”
